Halleujah. A Word on the Word recorded live at Saint Gregory the Great, the Diocese of Bridgeport - Connecticut USA. Our pastor is Father Angelo Arrando. We have the Homily, plus news from Saint Gregory the Great and the Vatican. Then we stand at the CROSSROAD, where generations meet, to reflect on the Word. We are so glad you could join us on the Road to Emmaus.

The readings for the Third Sunday of Easter are from the Acts of the Apostles, the first letter of Saint Peter and the Gospel according to Luke.
  • Follow in the foot steps of Jesus
  • The work of the church is found in our good works
  • Be generous when considering the Bishop's Appeal

Recorded at Saint Gregory the Great - Danbury, Connecticut April 5, 2008 7:30 P.M. Mass. Thank you Father Angelo.

Our Bulletin announcements include:
POSTAL FOOD DRIVE
Letter carriers in more than 10,000 cities and towns across America will be collecting non-perishable food items like canned soup, juices, pasta, vegetables, cereal and rice on Saturday, May 10th to help families in need in our community. You can help by placing your food donation at your mailbox on May 10th before your letter carrier arrives. The food will be delivered to local food banks. Mark your calendar.
WORDS OF WELCOME
We wish to welcome all visitors, members and children who worship with us today. We pray that worshiping with us will give you a sense of fellowship with Jesus and with us as God’s people, as well as comfort and strength for all your needs. If you have no Church of your own, we invite you to make this your home Church. But above all, we invite you to come to worship with us at any time.
Warning: Beware of Phone Scam
There is a phone scam going on in the United States and in particular in our diocese. Someone may call from the Philippines, or Manila, about a variety of clergy from our diocese supposedly being stranded in Manila, OR that there is a Malaysian priest that is flying home for his Father's funeral in one of our parishes. THEY uses real names of local priests you know!!! The story is they need assistance. The scamers can call collect. Please do not accept the charges. Please do not give them any money.

Here is a word from Vatican Radio.

Our music this week is from The Donnie Terrell Band. Described as a very lucid dream this piece was written to describe what that felt like and is called Spirit Walking. This and more can be heard at GarageBand.com.

Our prayer this week is offered often by Father Angelo. This version was found at the Emmaus Days website, a vocations awareness program sponsored by the Diocese of Peoria.
"Lord, help me to want to be what you want me to be."
